mean, Caucasian coarse, or, black, coarse?"

blonde boar bristles. The blonde boar brushes are very
soft bristle, designed for very fine, thin hair and for
scalps which require soft, gentle care.

ABOUT THIS BRUSH: The
Family Solars have been making brushes in Spain since
1963. Pablo Solar was an acclaimed industrial and
furniture designer when approached by a famous Spanish
hairdresser who had spent time in Paris and wanted to
manufacture a classic oval brush with a pneumatic pad
and boar bristles similar to what the French were using.
The result was the beginning of what is now one of the
most prestigious brush manufacturers in the world.
All three of Pablo's sons, Ramon. Luis, and Pedro, now
run the company with first class service and impeccable
artisan workmanship. Pablo is the first to arrive at the
factory at dawn in Girona, Spain, on the Bravo Coast in
in the Catalan region -- known for its strength in
design and industry. The Solars export to over forty
countries in the world.
The brushes made for The Morrocco Method were custom
designed to integrate with 5 Elements Hair Care. The
Morrocco Method brushes utilize two types of bristles
from boars bred in Spain. One uses 100% blonde boar --
excellent for fine hair, long hair, and all scalps -- to
massage and naturally distribute the sebum. The standard
brush uses black boar bristles and is specially designed
to be able to brush through regular to coarse, thick
hair, and is one of the most popular styles around the
world for classic and healthy hair styling.
Both bristle styles come either in a mahogany wooden
oval style or in a black graphite travel or purse size
brush.
Feedback: This is
a very soft brush. So soft that for those with lots of
hair or thick hair, you may not get a real good
brushing. I have found however that if you do have
thicker hair, if you want to soften the look and
possibly get rid of frizz, this brush is nice. You would
use it just on the top layer of hair. This brush
is all about how you use it. It will be a good
brush to keep a styled look for those people.

Feedback: This
brush works on nearly everyone's hair. If you need
a brush that can stimulate the scalp as you brush it -
it is good. It combs thru the hair to detangle and
style. It can handle more hair and get thru it
better than the soft blonde. For those who get
frizzy hair however, I recommend finishing your hair
style using the soft blonde. It keeps the top layer of
hair smooth.

Hello Natural
Solutions, I am a hairdresser and use boar
bristle brushes at work and sell them to
clients as well. Recently a client who
is very concerned about animal rights
refused to buy one when I mentioned that it
was real boar bristle. She went home and
did some searching on the web and forwarded
me two links to sites that
implied - but did not support the claim -
that boars are killed when companies
harvest their bristles.
I noticed that you carry high quality boar
bristle brushes on your website
and I'm wondering if you know anything about
what actually occurs in the
procurement of boar bristles...are the boars
killed or harmed? If they aren't
killed, are they treated humanely? thank you
very much for your response,

RESPONSE: Yes indeed
the tragedy is that for real boar bristle
brushes most of the companies kill the boars
for the bristle, but we deal with a humane
company in Spain who process the boar
bristle the same as one deals with sheering
sheep. so the boars are sheered for the
boar.
they are treated very tlc as they are raised
like sheep for this purpose. So we do
a double line bristle as we cannot get the
full effect with out hurting the boars.
If you notice our brushes have a double
depth line of bristle. This is due to
the sheering process as we have a large
clientel of raw/vegan customers. Also
we are animal cruelty free. You can
pass this info along to let your customer
know that both processes occur. We
choose to do the sheering process more
expensive but human.
